You're not alone. I had a failed effort with a C6 Corvette and Corbeau seats.

But you're not "stuck" with the Elites. I've read good things about 'em... if that's what you want, go for it.

Of course there are other choices. Late-model Mustang seats are plentiful & popular & relatively easy to install:
