289 heads and cam choice?

Once again...great info, and really enlightening for me on the fine nuances of cam grinds. I just got back into hotrodding about 18 months ago after selling my last one ('66 Mustang 325-HP 289) about 30 years ago, so the "science" and technology of it have come a long way. My previous ride was running a Crane SSH-300NC grind (300 adv.duration, .500 lift) a set of TRW forged 12.5:1 comp pistons, along with a set of '69 351W heads which had been flat-cut .040 and then angle-milled another .062. I did have problems with rocker studs breaking, and an exhaust valve floated once which did all kinds of "interesting" things inside the engine. So...this time I want to make damn sure I put together a durable package.

BTW...in case it's of interest..here's a little Youtube video of my current ride leaving out of the driveway. I "uncapped" the headers yesterday just to see how she sounded, and took 'er for a little spin. The sound of the cam definitely comes through!
