The guy I've used since 1980 for alignments has closed up shop so the last time I took the fastback in for an alignment I went to one of the chains.
I wound up schooling the young man who was otherwise competent but just didn't have a clue about the older cars and was very grateful for the knowledge drop.
The manager noticed what was happening and didn't charge me.

New shocks and bushings around new springs upfront to get it all back to "stock ride height" Did the breaks and put new rubber the whole way around too.
front coils were not only worn out but had 2/3's of a coil cut off I picked up almost 2" in height in the front of the car. the rear shocks where air shocks and where replace and I lost about 1/2" in rear height. It leveled the car out a little more than I had hoped but it drives MUCH better now. made a world of difference now its nice to drive you don't have to fight to drive it.
