Default rattle

I have a 67 mustang convertible, a rattle is driving me nuts, coming from the trunk the bars that put the tension on the trunk opening , where should they be in the first notch second or third, how do you relocate them, thank you

There is a clip that keeps them from touching each other. Do you have that, it snaps in the middle between the hinges. Mine are set the loosest notch & trunk flies open. If your trunk will not stay up the springs are probably on the wrong sides. It is much easier to install backwards than the right way, be careful.
