I bought a rebuild kit for my 289 (all standard) from Mabbco....got screwed!!! While all the other parts were OK to use and of top quality, the timing gear/chain set was very poor quality, the "new" camshaft was a POS, bearing journals measuring slightly different diameters (none on OEM spec), lobe lift varying slightly between like lobes. Mabbco REFUSED to make it good, not willing to exchange or tender a refund for the crappy parts and hinting forcefully that I didn't know what I was talking about. I would advise you to NOT do business with them and to advise your friends likewise.

Hi,
Do you know about Fordstrokers.com? They served well when I was building my 331.
