Hi everyone,
I'm getting ready to order parts for the borgeson power steering setup. Borgeson uses a GM Saginaw P series style power steering pump in their kit. However Borgeson seems to have modified/manufactured their own version of the saginaw p pump, which connects to the Borgeson mount from behind.

This is different from typical p series saginaw pumps, which typically mount from the front just behind the pulley. I don't want to be forced into buying a power steering pump from Borgeson in the future if a replacement is needed, and it would be so much easier if a standard front mount style pump can be used.

Does anyone make a front-style saginaw mount that will work with the standard crank pulley v belt setup on a 69 351w? Obviously I don't want to have to start changing pulley sizes anywhere!

I actually emailed borgeson asking them if the mount kit above would mount a stock style p series pump to an otherwise stock 69 351w, and they didn't reply... almost as if they don't want to lose a sale. Does anyone know or have experience mounting standard saginaw pumps to SBFs?

Some of you may wonder why I am trying to avoid buying everything from borgeson and the answer is simple. Down the line, the more parts I can just get at a parts store the more money I save. That being said, if Borgeson is the only company that makes a compatible pump/mount setup for a v belt 69 351w I guess I am constrained.

Anybody have experience with this stuff?

Well I decided to just buy the complete kit from borgeson (pump, mount, hoses, box, rag joint). Stay tuned as I will be updating my main thread in the next few weeks to start phase II of my project.
