Default Need Stainless Exhaust Supplier

Thus far in the web I cannot find a supplier for a complete stainless exhaust system in 2" or 2.25" size to fit a 65 K-Code GT. The owner wants to use the factory exhaust hangers if possible but he also wants Flowmaster (the deep throaty sound) sounding mufflers. We need to go from the cast HIPO exhaust manifolds clear through the GT lower rear valance panel. I've tried Summit and Scott Drake. Any suggestions on suppliers?

Honestly, go ask muffler shops. Higher end muffler shops will have mandrel benders and stainless pieces available to custom make a system that will fit better than any pre-packaged system you're likely to find.

hello;

yeah what he said.

if flowmaster and summit does not have it you are sol unfortunately.

also, 2 1/4" pipe is good up to around 400 hp.

3" exhaust will not fit.

the gt tips are 2 1/4 so even if you have 5" exhaust up to your gt tips, your engine only sees it as 2 1/4" due to the restriction.

i had an exhaust tube bender but without it i would never install a pre made "guaranteed to fit" kit for a customer because they are really guaranteed not to and YOU then have to make it fit and the exhaust company isn't goimng to pay you foir your additional time.

let the muffler ship have the headache.

No personal experience with the system but might be worth checking out.

local custom shop. some in my area do it. prob not much more money and def not as much time waisted. remember the trumpets on the exhaust, if you have them, are not that big. drake makes a performance one but i think it is only 2.25".
