I own a 67 mustang coupe that was a c code car(289) 4 speed. I put a 390 fe with a aod transmission in the car. there are a lot of issues to make it right, springs & front suspension, power brake booster to valve cover, and if your engine didn't come with all the brackets (power steering, alt ect) and pulleys good luck trying to find them. the aod adaptor can be bought on line, but it makes all the mounts 2in longer front to rear. I live in central Florida and the only way I could keep the car cool was a $450.00 aluminum radiator. when I started the project I spent about $1400.00 on things I didn't plan on and it took about 60 man hours to make it right.

God, I love FE's.

I have a sweet 390 sitting on a pallet just waiting for a project.

My 428 is like driving a four wheel drive truck in low gear but being able to go up to 100mph.
