GT350 clone - where to start
Hi all
I am new to the mustang scene and have no technical knowledge on the cars but am looking to get into a fastback mustang as a replacement for my recently sold Jaguar E-type. I've always loved the 65-66 GT350 cars and I see there are quite a few clones/tribute builds around for sale. What I'd like to know is if buying a used car what parts should I ideally be looking for that show it's a good quality clone? Are there parts for bodywork, engine, gearbox, exhaust, wheels etc that I should be looking out for? I am ideally looking for a visually accurate car but it doesn't need to be a 100% replica. Any help in getting me started would be much appreciated
Thanks
Trevor

Look for rust. Repaired or not. The cowl panel is not removable so any rust around the vent intake is hard to see and repair. Igt will also lead to floor rot. Other common spots are corners of the doors, fender areas behind the rear tires and under the battery.
