Default Grant Wheel Horn and Button problems

Saw something in Mustang Monthly about Va Classic Mustangs (awesome people) and a new kind of wood wheel. They have a kit to use with your Grant Wheel that should keep the horn button on.
Ordered the kit today. I'll update after I install it.
Love my Grant Wheel. Hate the fact my horn has been unplugged for 2 years because the hardware sucks. Hopefully this will solve it.

Grant has made the wheel/hardware combination for over thirty years, and they have not made any significant improvements ever to eliminate the horn AND turn signal problems. They seem to be after your money and don't really give a flip about the product they offer. Without the proper owner induced modifications, these setups are junk and should never have been able to find a market.

I have went through three Grant horn button replacements for my Grant steering wheel. I ended up having to mod mine a bit so that it would hold up to my yearly safety inspections. The spring, the button...I don't like it either....I do like the steering wheel though.

Parts came in today. Got to love a company that you order parts Mon am and they show up Tues.
Whole kit with shipping and tax was $97.00. Seems like quality stuff. I'll find out this weekend when I'm off.

ITS ALIVE!!!!!!

It worked. Around two years with no horn or center cap. The center cap seems a hair to big for the Grant Wheel but it stays on and I have a horn again.

Very well constructed and went on without any problems.

Thank you Mustang Monthly and Va Classic Mustangs.

Seriously, I'd love to see a picture if you get a chance.

I think this is a crappy advertisement of a thread. Grant wheels suck. I ditched mine years ago and never looked back.
they are cheap a$$ crap and even if you fix the button they still look cheap and suck

The issue is the name of the company. I'd rather have almost anything else. Grant is responsible for this monstrosity as well.

Does anybody else hear "Lowrider" by War when they look at that steering wheel?

If this was an ad for Grant I would be saying how great the Grant Wheel System is. I'm not saying that.

This is a post for those with a existing Grant Wheel with a horn issue.

Hoping the pics are attached.
