this whole air cleaner selection stuff is a lot of work

Ive been keeping tabs on my current setup and after oiling it dust levels seem okay at this point...but it still has a deteriorated element on the lid with really large holes that no oil would fill....A real K&N filter would probably be adequate as it would have a nice uniform mesh with no holes.

This is what I am running on mine now. Sometimes I will run a 15" Oval Billet Aluminum air cleaner without any issues.

Well I went with an edelbrock

Its not perfect but it met the size requirements the closest. I was concerned about excessive dust getting past the filter but after close monitoring I have reached the conclusion that this is not an issue. I see no evidence of dust accumulation at all. The cotton mesh is nice and close there are no holes like with the summit brand. It seems to flow very well too.

Thanks
