i'll make a better one if you like. or if you need me to measure anything let me know. The filter sits on top of a 2121 intake with 1@ spacer and the very front hits the hood. you can see where it scraped the front off the aircleaner. it rubbed against the crossbar in hood, but the export brace was no problem. if you have the straight type then Id say not a hope

I'm on my way to child two, so I'm keeping busy. this forums is so full of good info, I don't know how/why I stayed away for so long.
that's the part number I bought: 29432-2B (you'll find a coupe of sellers googling for it) but not sure if it's Scott Drake. But I think that bent is only made for this single specific reason , to fit around the oval air cleaner. I'll get a couple of pics and measurements tonight so you can crosscheck.

I've been a way from the forums for a while myself. I am not quite sure why either. Congrats on the new family member.

If you need a new curved monte carlo bar, I do recommend the Scott Drake one. Its a nice part.

ummm Gun...are you now saying the Shelby filter will hit your Monte Carlo/Rallye bar and not your export brace?

If this is the case, we all could have helped you weeks ago. All Monte Carlo/Rallye bars have about the same bend.

the screw hole on the origs and for racing ones if around 1" from center. it only mounts in one direction and when mounted, it has around 1" of clearance from the shock tower brace so the short end of the cleaner goes to the rear. they sometimes hit aftermarket distributors if the dist is taller than stock. i use a 5.00 carb spacer if this happens but it makes the air cleaner a bit wobbly.

actually a lot less room back there than you'd expect. So if you measured, I can understand why you said it won't fit. there's about half inch between the filter housing and the export brace. due to the fact that i use that specific intake with spacer, the brace is at the same height as the filter (cleaning element). so I gain another half inch. pretty tight back there. and from looking at barnetts picture it seems identical to mine (distances from what i can tell from that angle)
