if you want to roast the tires with the 302 and have great acceleration but still be able to drive 70 on the freeway, put the 373 gears in and a stall converter that is good for your engine power and desired driving type . . basically i'm guessing around a 2000 rpm which bis very common for the non "extreme" type guys . . this set up will roast the tires with even a moderate hp 302 [maybe 260hp] engine.

buy the eddie e street heads . . the springs are good up to around .520 lift max with a non roller cam or get a set of better springs for them if you use a roller or bigger cam or get a set of gt40p heads rebuilt and buy a spring kit for $100.00 and mill them to around 57 cc's and use the cheapest flat top pistons you can find . the pistons might be $100.00 . . if you go to around 270 hp or more i would use hyper pistons for around $260.00.
.

Luckily I've already done a disc brake conversion up front, replaced shoes and machined drums out back, and replaced all the suspension. All these parts have less than 500 miles. I know I'll have to do all the subframe connectors, monte carlo bar, export brace etc. down the road too.

Thanks for the advice. It feels good to be on here again! I received some help doing some repairs from very helpful people. I only wish I knew enough to be that helpful too.
