Default 66 Mustang seat belt help

I ordered the basic chrome lift latch seat belts from CJ Pony parts. It looks like they are not specific for mustangs but should work. The instructions state to drill a 1/2" hole in the floor and then the parts order is 7/16" bolt - Seat Belt - Floor - 2" washer - Lock washer - Nut. Instead of drilling I used the existing threaded holes near the center hump. The hole underneath has a small lip and is not flush with the bottom. I'm assuming this is to add a few more threads for the bolt. The 2" washer does not fit flush against the underside. Anyone have any suggestions on this?

My other question is the other half that connects on the door side. I've found a hole in the door sill but I don't see any way of being able to attach a nut to the other side. Does it just simply thread through?

Those parts are all to be used if you have nothing to start with, like the back seat if your car was not originally equipped with them.
I would use the existing seat bolt holes on the sides of the hump and just screw in the bolts then tighten them down and do not use the big washer or nut on the back, the door sides would be the same.
