Default Finally got my 66 coupe running! Need shocks...

Got my coupe running this weekend! Took it for a spin over to my dad's house a few blocks away. Here are pics after it arrived!

So, I got new side-view mirrors, a new rear-view mirror, new washer fluid bag, new headlamp and alternator wiring harnesses, new alternator, new battery, new battery box, new valve cover, new air filter housing, new belts, new antenna, new parking light assemblies... There's more, but I can't quite recall. I know the ignition had to be rerun, all the locks had to be rekeyed, new lenses and bulbs all around...

It's currently at a mechanic getting a new oil pan put in since I can't lift an engine.

I have a question, though. The car was bouncing all over the freakin' place when I was taking it around. Pretty sure I need some new shocks. Any recommendations? I want this to be a good daily driver, not a trailer queen or a race car, so I don't need absolute top of the line.

.
kyb gray shocks are soft like stock . . kyb gas adjust shocks are firmer.

you may need a new distributor vac can.

take a photo of your distributor and the right side of your carb with the air cleaner off.

you might find that your front springs are a bit soft.

I'd go with KYB GR2 or Exel G on an I6 car. These were gray and are now black.

The KYB Gas Adjust used to be white and is now gray. They are fairly stiff. I have them on my car, and wouldn't use them on an I6 car.

You don't need to remove or lift the engine to pull than pan. All you should have to do is remove the crossmember.
