Default Exhaust Setup Question

Hey all. So my son just bought a '66 Coupe, with the 200 I-6 and 3 speed manual. My question: What setup would give the best sound out of that engine.
Thanks in advance.

a bottle of nitrous.

if you leave the stock exhaust manifold then just change the muffler . . a flowmaster single chamber 40 would be one of the loudest.

you should also make sure the distributr vacuum advance is working if it still has the orig system.

you can post a photo of the distributor if you want.

YES IF YOU HAVE A 200 ENGINE AND PUT FORGED PISTONS IN IT AND ARP NUTS ON THE ROD BOLTS . . ALL THE 6'S HAVE FORGED RODS AND THE 200'S HAVE 7 MAIN BEARINGS.

If you want a nice sounding I6, then get a transverse replacement muffler for an F body Firebird with dual outlets. That's what I had on mine back in high school. Get Dynomax super turbo or Walker replacement. It sounds great. Please do not put a Flowmaster on it. That will sound horrible.
