Your likely starving the suction side of the pump and boiling fuel as it tries to pass into the pump. Once that happens and the pump starts to cavitate, it can't move fuel.

A 110gph pump is ****ing huge, and is intended to fuel n/a engines with 1,000+hp.
Interesting theory, wouldn't that happen immediately though? Last time I ran the engine, it held pressure for about 5 minutes before it began to reduce in PSI. I have stainless braided lines to the under body fuel filter but standard fuel line from the filter back to the tank.

Edelbrock rates this pump to handle up to 600 HP which should work no problem on my application. We are installing the new pump today and will have a look at the fuel line if problems continue.

Thanks for the reply

So I installed the new pump and we had the same problem.

I went and purchased a Carter electric 5-6psi pump and installed it close to the fuel tank. I removed the line after the pump and put it in a gas can and turned on the pump. NOTHING came out, even after adding 5 gallons of fuel. The problem is in the tank. I plan on dropping the fuel tank this Saturday. I will keep you guys posted

Sounds like the tank is plugged and the pump is drawing air somewhere along the line. Maybe a good time for new everything?

I'm not sure I would be so quick to pull the tank. You said that you pulled the line before the pump and stuck it in a bucket of gas and got the same result. Do you have a drivability issue that made you start looking into this. I would think a pressure drop would be normal, otherwise you would have constant pressure on the needle and seat which is telling the pump to hold up. One more thought. Don't take it wrong but did you install the electric pump backwards? If you need to get in the tank, just drain it and pull the sender.
