Header help
Hey guys I'm in the middle swapping my 351 into my 67. Motor and trans are in the car. I ordered a set of FPA headers (ford power train application). The passenger side went in smoother than believable. Any advice on how to get the driver side in. They are hitting everything. I removed the valve cover. Undid the motor mounts. Rehoisted the motor. Let the trans down. Pushed it up. Anything to try to get some room to get the headers in there. I'm trying to avoid having to remove the break booster for more room. Any advise would be great

Tried that once but in order for me to get the header upright under the car I need it jacked up. Leaving no room for the hoist to hold the motor up. I can try that again with the hoist and jack in different positions

the only way i have been able to get it in is from underneath. You would be surprised though, you really don't have to jack it up all that high. just enough to rotate the header into place.
just keep working it. you will find the right mojo.
also, if you have factory a/c you may need to use the power steering drop bracket
this is just an example. there are different suppliers and prices

When I bought the headers it came with the drop bracket!
So here is the update:
They are in! Got home from work last night and put my head down and got it done. They are tight but they fit and that's what matters! Thanks for the advice. Just hope I never have to take them out again lol
