Default Added this '66 Fastback to the stable

Brought this home today. Hard enough to find a fastback nowadays so I grabbed this right away even though it's a 6 cylinder with a 3 speed on the floor. We sold my wife's fastback about 10 years ago (haven't heard the end of that mistake) so I got serious and found her another one. She loves the silver blue exterior and parchment interior. The interior is all original and is in unreal condition.

Well, one thought was to convert this to a 302/C4. I did a full suspension replacement on our last '65 fastback so it's not something that I'm afraid of doing... and I've got a 302 & a 9 inch rear axle just sitting in the barn. She said she'd be just fine with the 6 cylinder engine but would be more comfortable with an automatic setup. Sooooooo- instead of re-inventing the wheel again, who's got a C4 trans/bellhousing for a 6 cylinder that they'd part with?

Fantastic looking car. I love the color combination.

I understand wanting an automatic. I had to convert my 65 6cyl 4 speed Dagenham (p.o.s.) to an auto so the wife could drive it.

I traded the 4 speed shifter and pedal setup straight up for a console for my fastback. Dude was clicking his heels and so was I . I love those deals.

Figures... I just bought a C4 from a buddy for $80 and took it to a rebuilder. This fellow might have a bellhousing and torque converter too. I've gotta get underneath to see if it's a 5 or 6 bolt bell housing.

Thanks for the heads up offer!

I agree love the parchment interior. I'd like to have a 65 or 68 Fastback to park next to my 69. Love these first gen Mustangs.
