Default 1967 Ford Mustang coupe problems 302 v8

I just got a 67 mustang from Indianapolis. It has been in a garage for a few months and it has no rust on it. It has a 302 v8 motor in it, an Edelbrock carburetor and a ford overdrive metric transmission in it. Every time I hit 60 mph it feels like the car is bogging down, and sometimes I have to come to a complete stop and shut the car off and turn it back on in order for the bogging to stop. It seems like it drops all RPM's and doesn't want to go any faster. Could my 4th gear be going out? Everything that I have done to it hasn't worked. The differential was low so I filled it up. I haven't done any transmission work to it, but that's where I'm thinking about going next. Any suggestions?

Maybe try giving your carb a good cleaning. If it's been sitting for a few months I doubt the previous owner ran the bowl dry. Even if it doesn't completely fix your issue, you might still benefit from t

Before I'd go digging around the transmission, I'd verify that your fuel delivery is ok.

Check the simple stuff first. How's your fuel filter?

sounds like fuel starvation to me. drain the tank, put in fresh fuel, new filter, clean the carb.
