1970 fastback suspension advice
I recently purchased a1970 fastback it sits too high in the front for my taste. The stance I like is just a touch higher in the back, so I would like to lower the front and raise the rear it has original suspension on it looked at some kits on the net do not need a super exotic suspension just trying to achieve the stance I like the standard kits are 800-1000 that is no problem if I can get the right stance. Any input would help thx.

If stance is your primary objective, here is what I would do (assuming suspension is original).
Do the shelby drop, this should lower the front by about 1/2" to 3/4". See how you like the new ride height.
If it's not low enough up front, cut your front springs or buy drop springs. I would just cut the originals to save money.
Replace the bushings in your leaf springs for driveability, or if you are set on dropping the rear end buy mid or reverse eye leafsprings. Do not use lowering blocks.

1/2 coil will drop about an inch. Not sure what springs the below article used though...

I changed my stance since that photo actually...I will update soon. My front end was too low, now allowing enough travel for a street car in CA. Now I have the popular 620 springs with 1/3' coil cut. I have reverse eye 4.5 leafs from mustangs plus. My car sits a little lower because I have negative wedge control arms and have done the shelby drop a full 1/2" more than normal. I hated kyb gas a justs way too stiff for the street, I went for Bilstein sports from racing car dynamics (ORP).

do NOT cut your stock springs, it will bottom out easier . . buy 480 lb lowering springs and use the different height pads to get height you want . . you CAN cut lowering springs.
