Default One dash light does not work

I replaced all of my dash lights (speeds, blinkers etc.) I grt it all back together and they are working BUT one side of the speedo was very dim. So, I took it back out thinking it fell out or something and realized it was just not bright at all. Then, it stopped working completly, I called my genius grand father and he said the wire end could be corroded a little bit so I tried to sand it down a little and sill nothing. I hooked up my volt meter and I guess I didn't do it right because I dunno it wasn't wor king right.

Anybody have any thoughts? All the rest of the lights work just fine, just the one left speedo light does not.

What do you get at the other lights?

If you get 12v at the other lights then I'm going to guess faulty wiring like your granddaddy said. Have you tried swapping bulbs?

It looks fine. And like I said, I sanded where the bottom of the bulb connects with a nail file in case there was any corrosion on it or smething keeping it from connecting. So I am blanking...guess I will have to trace the wire and somehow find where it's messing up. SO CONFUSED

Chasing the Spark.

That's just one of the joys of owning a 50 year old car.

Yes, I've tried other bulbs....it did this before I changed everything as well so it's gotta be a wiring thing.
