Default Reference For Parts Matching?

Does anyone know of some reference where we could look up for instance, will a rear end from a 2003 GT fit in a 65-66 coupe, or will the brakes fit? Drive train components mostly.. Thank you.

The 66 rear end is 57-1/4" flange to flange.

The 03 rear end is roughly 61".

Thank you. That was just an example, but in the same thought can a 2003 rear end be shortened? Are the shock plates in the right place? Will the 66' brakes bolt up to the end plates? Maybe I'm just wishing for a reference that doesn't exist..

Let me do some more digging. I don't know if the spring perches are in the correct spot. I haven't heard of switching the 66 breaks on to a newer axel. I do know swapping the sn95 swap is fairly labor intensive. Guess the question would be, why swap to the old if you're putting in a newer axel? Is it due to wanting to run 14 or 15" rims?

I doubt the spring perches are in the correct place. The sn95 axels are wider than the mid 80's 5 slow axels. And I k ow you have to relocate the spring perches on the 5 slow axels. I know some people on this site (MonsterBilly) I believe has done this swap with a mid 80's 8.8 rear end. You need to cut the rear end on the drivers side by 2-1/2" and have a spare passenger axle. I would imagine the sn95 axel would be the same, but require a bigger portion of the drivers side axle tube cut.
