Default Outta gas.

So, here's something I haven't done since high school. Coming back from the family cabin then other day and made it to within a mile of the house and ran slap outta gas. No excuse, just didn't pay attention to the needle.

So, while waiting for help, I did what anybody in this situation would do; I took pictures.

This is what an outta gas fastback looks like on the side of the road.

I made it this far:

But couldn't get past here:

The good news is that I didn't run out in the middle of nowhere and help was only a phone call to my brother away, who, of course took full advantage of the opportunity to bust my chops.

Gorgeous car. I did that in my 66 coupe when I got it. Didn't know that the fuel sending unit was goofed and when you hit 1/4 of a tank you better be at the gas station. At least your brother was near by.

HEY, DAMNIT! I'm not OLD!

Just because I watch the history channel and spend more and more time saying, "I remember that" does not mean that I am old.

You are only really old if your first car had mechanical brakes, no synchros and maybe even a pedal for reverse.
