Question Automatic ID

Hello all i have a classic transmission here likely out of a truck but could be form a car (not likely mustang) If its a good one my wife wants to convert her 66 I-6 3-speed to an Auto. but i have no way of knowing what this is other then a ford transmission. It does not have a seprable bellhousing. and looks toy be from a small 8 maybe 6 cylinder. no identification of numbers or anything that i could find on it any ways. Thanks for the help.
