Need new seats
My old flo fit seat is hammered....The backrest is not wanting to stay upright anymore...whateves...
I need something along the lines of a race seat...not a full race seat something actually comfortable, with recline option, but strong and with some type of bolsters to keep from sliding around..
I ran across the Corbeau thats about the right direction but they dont appear to make rails for 66.
What are your recommendations for a quality company to purchase new
OR
What production vehicle has a seat that may fit my needs.
Thanks

What do you mean rails, do you mean the mounting slider hardware? If that's what you're talking about, they make the mounting hardware for the Classics.
http://corbeau.com/master-seat-brackets
They list 2, D266 is theirs straight up, and A22049 adapts to the existing stock rails (so I presume it's just a bracket that adapts the seat to the existing factory slider).
If you drive hard, probably better off with the D266 upgraded to a double slider.
Also, don't be afraid of a fixed back seat. They're really comfortable, and generally hold you in place a lot better. The only problem, is you can't fold them forward to get into the back seat easily. They also tend to be cheaper (usually, depends on what you're getting....carbon/kevlar FIA buckets are expensive as ****).

I installed Fiero seats that I purchased from the yard for $70 total. I made steel adapters to fit them to the original tracks. I mounted the seats to the tracks in a way where the front of the seat ended up in pretty much the same place as the originals, so that the stock slider lever fits perfectly. A very helpful tip for this installation was to bolt the tracks to the seat first, then install the seat with tracks together. After test fitting of course.
The seats are very comfortable as they are, and I haven't even redone them yet. The only things I am going to do are add a little foam in the lumbar region (I am very tall), add foam to the side bolsters because I drive hard(and have a fairly narrow 32" inseam) and have them recovered. Because of my height I needed a seat that mounts low, and I will still eventually do the seat pan mod to get extra knee room, but as they are they already sit lower than stock and recline.
