I would like to know too. My 66 was a stick and someone converted it. If anyone in the Raleigh area would like to convert a stick to auto I'll trade a C4 with 1000 miles on it for a 3 or preferably a 4 speed.

I did my 67. The top loader is an easy swap. Your driveshaft will not need to be altered. Hunting the parts is the hard part.</P>

O.K. I just did this on my car(although it's a six, the basic parts list is the same)You will need: The transmission,bellhousing,clutch disc/pressure plate/release bearing,flywheel,crankshaft pilot bearing,equalizer or "Z" bar,clutch pedal,associated springs and release rods,shifter,driveshaft yoke,back-up light switch(if equipped)trans mount and a lot of patience. </P>

I forgot to mention good used 4-speeds are getting harder to find, so good luck with that. Fora T-5 conversion you'll need much of the same stuff, except for the clutch linkage as the T-5 is a cable clutch set-up.</P><edited><editID>bob emmerich</editID><editDate>38023.7792013889</editDate></edited>
