Default carb and headers

my friend wants to get a holley 570 or 670 cfm electric coke on his stock 302, and some headers but if we buy some headers, were will the exhaust heat tube (the one that ransfers heat to the choke to warm up) where will that go?? does he have to do any mods? i kno the alter wires to go the choke as well but im sure that doesnt really warm it up all?? right?? anyways advice welcome.

I'm pretty sure if you get an after market headers it will not be included so if you really want that heater tube then you will probably have to do some fabrication but as far as I know its not "required" by law to have it.

hrm okay so he shouldnt really worry about then. but would it cause the carb to be rich all the time since nothing is sending it to the electric choke? or the alt. would heat it up?? becuase on the holley avenger carbs i see 2 outlets and the heater tube to the side.

Well I don't know how cold it gets where you live (I live in Tucson AZ) but I always keep my choke all the way open because it never gets cold enough to be much of an issue but isn't one of those 2 outlets the vacuum advance for the distributor?

You don't need any of that crap. All you do is run 12 volts to the choke and you are done.

650 cfm on a stock 302 is way too much carburetor. You won't need the heat tube with an electric choke.
