Default 289 and 302 Oil Filter QUESTION

Hey.....just a question.....can a 65 289 Oil Filter fit on a 68 302?

well..it didnt work..apparently..there is a difference in the adapter head...the one from my car had a small HUMP in it and the one from a 65 was...well...it was flatter...this is where the thread is for the canister to screw on to....ah well...time to get a different adapter!

They both use the Motorcraft FL1A or the Wix 51515. What't this about an adapter?

i mean the "nut" where u screw the canister on too.....i found a K n N one that fits the bill....so im getting that in a couple of days....should be cool!

did maybe the PO install one of those filter repositioners or something??? This is crazy, take a pic and post that sucker.
