1. The coupe has a legitimate title
2. It is about 1/2 the price
A not as important point, they welded in a Shelby tail light panel as part of the conversion and sent two Cougar tail lights.

Hey, my whole life is a fake!
"As long as you don't enter into a contract to sell it, you can call it anything you want, except maybe at a car show where they check the VIN. Someone even said "Nice Eleanor" about my Mach1, obviously a Chevy person!"
If your aviator is your car, then it is a "Nice Eleanor". The next time you are at a movie rental place, look up Gone in 60 Seconds. The origional was made in 1974 by H.B. Halicki. The origional Eleanor was a 71 mach 1 that was yellow and black. One of the longest and best chase scenes of its time.
Just a little FYI.

It is a Cougar tail light panel like Shelby originally used. They are still available.
73,
The 66 should be driving by March and finished with paint by July. In March, we'll then put all our effort into the 68. Funny you should mention the shop, I just went in halfs with my BIL on a nice little 1500sf shop. I am moving the GT40 there today.

i stand corrected... still a good chase scene for its day. no computer generated car jumps.

Wow, it's even the same color as my car! (except for the non-origional rear black-out treatment). Definatly a 73, can't tell if it was a Mach1, the tail stripe and Mach logo was blacked out. It sure handled the corners like it had a Mach1 suspension.
Too bad they wrecked the front end and door right at the start!
BTW You can see just the chase clip if you search "Gone in 60 Seconds 1974" on www.spike.com
no probs I mis-estimated the cost of the welding thought it would be more. But from what I have seen they have done a great job and I look forward to seeing the progression.
the colors of yours and the one in the movies helped throw me off.

That is a quick build. You are going to be busy.
Is the shop far from your house? I would think it would be better to have both Mustangs at the shop for more work space.
