If you bought one of these, couldn't you also just buy some old junkie "parts car" and use the VIN off of it.

Just tell the DMV you "restored it" but obviously disclose what you really did if you ever needed / wanted to sell it.

My mechanic is going to do just that. He bought a 69 Mach 1 for $500.00 (was going to be scrapped) and will use the VIN on the Dynacorn body to make a modern rendition of the car.

Personally I think it's great but for what the body costs I bought one for a little less that is/was driveable. Of course I've put alot more into it to make it safe and driveable but not near as much as if I just had the body and had to buy all the components.
