Don't know if y'all have caught the new Mustang Monthly blurb yet on Dynacorn, but they are about to release a '69 fastback version of their new bodies in addition to still making the 67-68 fastbacks. Man if I had $60k lying around I would totally build out a street legal Mach1 tube chassis car for the strip. All new suspension, 4 link, racing seats and dash, maybe a blower or just a nice dual stage nitrous system.
Anyone know how you would title something like that? Maybe you would not title it and just drive it on the strip, but it would be a blast on the road every once in a while! Don't flame me...I am not building a 1969 Mustang with this body. I am building a 2009 Mustang version of the 69 .

Why don't they make a coupe version on the 67-68 also... I would buy one of those before the 67-68 FB, but not before the 69.
Not enough demand for a coupe and too much supply of restorable coupes out there. Interesting that you like 69's more than 67's. 67's are my favorites (coupe or fastback).

Boss 302 has me liking that body style. I like my 67 though also just the 69s a little bit more.

Depends a bit on where you live, as this would almost certainly have to follow whatever "kit car" procedure is in place there. I guess you'd need a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin and receipts for all the rest of the stuff for tax purposes. Some places allow the vehicle to be titled as that which it is intended to visually resemble. California now has a 500(?) car per year exemption of some related sort, so there might be something similar. This topic comes up on a recurring basis in letters written to 'Kit Car' magazine and I think that magazine has occasionally published lists of places for information by state. You may be able to track down from there what you'd actually need to do.
I noticed this in the Shelby mag I was looking at 2 weeks ago. Love the fact they are doing this. At 15k it's still a bit high for most people though. Would be nice if they could produce these bodies for 8k - 10k as I think their sales would jump quite a bit.
I've preferred the 67/68 fastbacks since I was a kid however the more I see the 69 fastback the more it grows on me. I've also come to really like the smaller look of the 65/66 fastbacks as well. I've always said the 69 was the meanest looking beast of them all though! The quarters between the rear wheels and door have always looked like a beefy set of shoulders to me from front on lol.
