Default Old Mustang, New Wheels???

Does anyone know or has any one tried to put stock GT 2006 bullitt wheels (17x8) on a 1968 GT coupe? I know the lug pattern is the same but was not sure if anyone had personally tried this. Thanks...

I know for my 65 I need 1.5-2" spacers on front and 1" out back to run them. Luckily I have all of that.

I have them on my 68 and just as nick said, you will need the 1.5" on the front and the 1" on the back.

I believe MU makes a spacer kit for this specific swap.

Most mustang part houses sell the spacers.

Dang those are expensive. Those are have of what I paid for the spacers and the wheels.

But then again, I didn't buy them new.

can you do a wider spacer (like a 1.5 or 2.0) on the rear to get that staggered look?

I tried them on my 67 once. Needed minimum 1.5" adapters up front, and actually bolted up fine in the rear w/o adapters. It was close clearance though, and I would have felt safer running a 1" adapter in the rear aswell...
