Ok, I'll have to link them to my photobucket account later when I get home. I can't access it from work. Wierd thing is I can see the pictures, so I thought everyone else would be able to.

I'm use to my forum where you can upload your pictures from your computer to your post long as you didn't exceed a certain size.

But I'll fix it tonight for everyone!

Until then you can go to this link and see the pictures. It is a link to the forum for my car.

Welcome, sounds like most of the hard work is behind you, hopefully you can get your baby back on the road soon.

Yeah a lot of the hard work is done but there is more that needs to be done.

I was looking up how to put in new headliners and wow! That is something I'm debating about having someone else do. I didn't know the windsheild and rear window needed to be taken out to do it right and make look and last longer. I know someone here at work that says they know how to pull the windshield and rear windows, so maybe I will tackle the job but still iffy about it.

Is the original 289 completely dead? Seems like you could keep the car somewhat original and just rebuild the hell out of it.

Any reason for keeping the original heads? I am new to this, but I thought they are generally considered crap compared to modern replacements.

Congrats on the car!

Best get used to that feeling. I don't think these cars are ever "done" just in various stages of completion.

The old 289 was on it's last leg. You keep the origanl heads and put them on the new motor because they are interchangable and you don't have to fork out more money on heads.

My motor guy is porting and polishing the old heads and changing them into roller rocker heads, so they will be a lot better than they were.
