Thats a good looking Mustang. Nice find. I like the color too.

Whats on the front fender near the driverside door?

There are pictures of my 65 in my profile.

Thank you!

The thing on the front fender is an old school alarm key lock. Alarm doesn't work anymore I was informed so later down the road I will either replace the fender or have a body guy fill it when the car gets it's better paint job in a couple years.

I'll check out your pictures!

Nice looking car! Good choice with converting it to a V8 & manual tranny. I was going to do the same for my wife but it was cheaper to rebuild the old
C4. Later we will do the T5 swap also.

Thanks for the compliment.

I thought that might be for an vintage alarm system.

As far as transmission goes, mine started out as a 3 speed manual. So, I already had the clutch pedal etc. I am going with a cable clutch.

If your wife doesn't want a stick shift, you could always do an AOD swap and 3.50 gears in the back.

Congrats on the car. Don't know what it would go for, but whenever you get the car and all those extra parts sounds like you are getting a good deal. Good luck with everything. I'm sure you wife will enjoy driving it. But the big question is what are you gonna be driving. If she's driving a '66 coupe are you driving a '67 GT500? Happy driving!

LOL, I wish! I drive a 2007 MazdaSpeed6 it's AWD Turbo and I have put a good amount of power adders on it already, it's pretty fast and it's funny when I beat people in it because no one really knows about them.

*UPDATE*

Exhaust is finally coming in today! Only thing I'm waiting for is a "Shift Selector Light" that I just ordered yesterday, the new seat divider & it's insulation and the shifter bezel. Everything else has came in and I dropped off my seats to the upholstery guy yesterday. Estimated complete date is a week.

Still waiting on motor too

*UPDATE*

Upholstery is done early! Picked it up yesterday, it looks great! Cost for doing front seats and fixing the back seat upper seat was $275. I asked how much they would charge to put the upholstery on the back quater panels when I get it and they said $20. I'm ok with that!

Just read through and looks like a fun project. There is one thing you haven't said anything about.... Back seat seatbelts. Have you thought about putting in 3-point rear seatbelts? With a 9 month old daughter (other kids?) being in the car this is something you might want to think about now.

I also have the full JBA exhaust... sitting behind the island in the kitchen lol. Can't wait to hear it in a few months.

Good point! I was thinking the lap belt is long enough to hold the car seat down properly. But I didn't think of later when she out grows the car seat. Is there a kit for the 3 point seatbelts?

I'm hoping I get to hear mine soon! The new 302 with the hogged out heads should sound pretty good!
