Default 8.8 Which to Keep???

I'm supposed to be swapping this 8.8 for a 9inch tomorrow. I just yanked it out of the car today. It came out of a 91 Lincoln Mark VII. I was looking it over and kind of started wanting to call off the deal. The disk brake set-up on this rear end looks pretty light. I also have an 86 Lincoln Mark VII that also has an 8.8 with disks but the calipers on this set-up look heavy like the ones on my Versallies 9inch. I haven't gotten a good look yet because the car is surrounded by weeds, has blown air bags, and all 4 tires are flat. Do either of these rear ends have brakes that are worth keeping?

Anyway, I haven't pulled the rearend out of the 86 yet. Should I pull it and swap that for the 9 or just swap the 91 rearend for the 9?

I know I'm going to end up with 2 rear ends but they both have plans in the works. One will go in a Ranger that will be a 2WD desert truck, and the other will go into a future Mustang build. Width is not a concern as they are both too wide for either application. I'm going to have a buddy of mine shorten as needed. My biggest concern is, do either of these 8.8 have more desireable brakes?

Here is the rearend out of the 91.
