Default Custom steel hood, efi fuel tank, finished the frame (My Spring Break)

This is one of the projects I was working on over spring break. I didn't intend for it to be as big as what it turned out but I like it.

Here is another of my projects. I couldn't use my stock tank so I decided to weld up my own and it is going to use the in tank pump from the mark viii.

Here is the last of my projects. Nothing big I just had to finish out the frame under neath the trunk floor.

....interesting. Where are you planning on running the exhaust? And what motor are you going to drop in to haul all that weight around?

I'm gonna be running a 4.6 DOHC. What weight? I really didn't add a whole lot of weight to it even though it may look like it. It will weigh less that the 3800 lb mark viii donor. I'm not concerned with weight anyway. I'm building a cruiser not a dragster.

I carried it around on my own. It is heavy but the stock hood is heavy on its own. The scoop probably added another 10 lbs or so but a lot of the stock hood will be cut away so it really wont be much heavier than stock.

Ah, that's right, you're the Mk VIII guy.

You added quite a bit of weight between the hood and the underbody reinforcements. I'd guess at maybe 500lbs. That motor will haul it around just fine, it's just going to be a bit of a pig.

One other concern, though...is that tank galvanized? If not, you could run into some nasty corrosion issues.

Also, are you going to make that hood scoop functional? Would be kinda nifty.

Looking at your pics I can't help but think of the "Road Warrior". Wicked hood.
