I am replacing the Harmonic Balancer on my 67 ,289. Is the bolt that holds it on a standard thread or a lefthanded thread . I will use a puller to get it off. Any suggestion on how to loosen this bolt other than kranking on it. What would be the troque of this and the three bolts that hold the pulley on. Thanks

to remove i just gave it a quick shock with an impact gun and it came off.
did you get may 2009s mustang monthly? they give you some good tips on installing a balancer.
to loosen the balancer bolt you can always pull the coil wire take a long pull bar position it over the frame rail have a buddy bump the starter works every time no impact needed just watch your fingers

im not a crazy peson and i do it all the time just use a breaker bar and the starter does all the work for you

I used my cordless impact drill and the bolt came loose . Than I just gave the harmonic a little pull and it came right off didn't have to use a puller at all. LUCKY Me!!! Thank for all the tips.
