For a shift handle, the OE looking handles look pretty good, IMO. You can also get a trick remote shifter handle from Mustangs Plus, which is what I'm looking at when I swap to a 5sp.
In any case, I'd recommend an aftermarket shifter with any T5. T5's don't have internal shift stops, so overshifting can bend a shift fork. Aftermarket shifters come with adjustable stops to fix this problem. Not to mention, the stock shifter feels rather rubbery and vague in comparison to a Pro 5.0 or Steeda Tri-Ax.

I have a Steeda Tri Ax I'm fixing to put on my TKO. The biggest problem with shifters in our old Stangs is reaching them. You either have to come up with your own handle(I modified a Hurst handle and then made bushings to adapt it to the Tri Ax) or get the remote shifter deal from M+, which I'm also looking at doing at some point.
Or you have to be 7 feet tall with orangutan arms.

Best trap 107.11mph, we'll see what the new intake/carb setup does.
