Default For the die-hard Ford blue experts

Please don't ask me to explain. Delphi makes most of GM's parts, and Visteon makes some of the integrated Ford parts; AC, sensors and electrical, etc. My question, who makes the sheetmetal for the new 2010 Mustang?

Actually, Delphi makes engine management other electrical/electronic equipment for GM and several other auto makers, as well as the retail market. AC Delco is GM's parts brand. What they don't make (like electronic components), they buy from other manufacturers.

Sheet metal is commonly molded in-house at the assembly plant.

i think thats usually the 5.0 section, guys over there are tend to be pretty rude

its seems any question that doesnt have to do with mods that turn your mustang into a ricer arent answered in any of those sections

Ever driven a 5.0 HO fox? More than enough power to get any teenager into trouble, and several hundred pounds lighter than any newer Mustang. There's a reason they were popular highway patrol cars.

Starfury is correct. It is done in house at the Stamping Plants. Not sure who/where Ford is puchasing the sheetmetal from? I believe the Mustang body parts are made at the Dearborn Stamping Plant, Dearborn,MI.

And yes Delphi is huge:
Delphi/Delco Electronics
Delphi Packard Electric
Delphi Saginaw Steering
etc.

Visteon is basically Fords Electronics Division.
Power window switches(one example)

Visteon also makes AC and heater components. I tried to work an assembly line there. I couldn't handle it. Assembly lines take a certain kind of person. Luckily I got picked up by Ford again a month and a half later, but I'll never do another assembly line job. EVER.
