So this showed up today. Stout piece of AL tell you what. It's lighter overall than the nodular case. The 40 spline axle will be lighter than the 35 spline also because of the gun drilling. Overall I think I'll only have an extra 600 in the rear end going this way. Cheaper than deciding to do it later for sure.Way overkill. BUt you all know how it goes. It'll be 25.5 in no time, but I won't have to upgrade this. lol ! I called one guy about some strange stuff, never called me back. Wonder if he'll be sorry with all the strange parts going on this car. Still have axles, housing, back brace, and probably brakes in the rear. Dunno about those thin little things in the back. We'll have to see.

The "smaller" tire is a 325/50/15 and the larger slick is 29.5x13.5. You can run a 315 without a mini tub. You'll run into the leafs first anyways. Rims for both are 15x12's. As soon as I cut up the car a bit I'm going to measure for the next set of rear rims. Will be the same size, but probably with another inch of backspace or so I'm guessing.
Wow, so you can run 26x12" without rubbing? What backspace are you running on the 15X12 wheels? I have 26X10 MT on 15x8s but I am not sure I could get another two inches in width without rubbing when the suspension flexed.

Noooo, nono. I could get it to fit with a mini tub, and the rear suspension I'm making. It'll have tubular lower, and I could offset them if I needed. But probably wouldn't need it. The lowers are going to be much skinnier than leafs. I had a 28x10.5 on the old car. but either car can run a 315 without a mini tub.(urs or mine)

315 50 R15? That is a 27.40"x12.40" tire. That seams pretty wide and tall without needing a minitub. I am curious because I will not minitub my car, but would love a larger footprint to help plant power.

Well I tried to look for ya. Rich has 315/35/17's on his 67 no tub. People didn't believe him so he started a thread a few years back and took pics because he was being asked if he was sure they were 315's. lol The 69 we have here has the same on 18's. The section width was just a little bigger on the different brand 315 for the 69 (probably only 1/8 difference, but counts when going this big). We probably could have just the inner with a hammer also. But with the extra body roll we expect with this car, we didn't want it rubbing while 10k miles away.
Ok, 315 35 R17 are 25.7" tall and 12.40" wide. That is a little more believable with the right back spacing.
Yeah, still both 12.4 wide ? Would imagine both would fit then. You can fit 29.5 in the rear. At least it's a little more believable.
Justin. We usually put the scrap out and people are asking for it before we finish the job. This one took a good 1.5 days before someone asked for it. He was surprised also when I told him how long it had been out there.
These are awesome. Instead of just holes for the rear of the control arms to bolt to, I can make smaller adjustments than just .750 or 1in. Loosen, slide 'em up or down a bit. Guess it's a very old NASCAR and circle trick. Some of the circle guys use just sliders. but I wanted these so I knew how much they were moved, and that they were evenly moved.
Ends for the lower control arms. Enough for the arms and the panhard. Same for the toothed pads.
