Something about being cut with jagged metal that sends shivers up my spine! I have a spare helmet if you need it.

Got the valves the other day and got the valve job done and got her flowed. Bad news was the head stopped flowing no matter the lift a .750. (who cares ) Good news is it did do 340 cfm @ 700 and 240 @ 650. Cam I'm guess will be over .600, but under .650, as a guess. Need to do some math to figure the mid lift numbers, but so far so good. Testing was on a 4.04 bore and 1 7/8 exhaust tube. Can't wait. Should done some of the larger number fairly easy. Night and day from the old AFR's...by about 100cfm at peak so far.

For most stuff, eagle 4340 stuff. Unless more is needed. But have seen the eagle stuff do over 1000 rwhp with good rod bolts all day long. Up to 1400 rwhp

K, got off my ass and finally got the lat few little things done to send it to the be blasted. Tomorrow epoxy primer, and if I have since finish acid etching the roof where I wouldn't let them blast. Going to be awesome working on a car without crap falling in my eyes all the time. Although instead of rust, now it'll probably just be sand. Oh well, at least the sand won't rust in my eye.

Did score some rear wilwoods brand new with internal e-brake for 450. I'll just turn those bad boys into dual caliper rears. Ordered the cam. I haven't talked to him in about 2 weeks, but guess was the cam would be .660-.680 lift. Should be "easy" to make 1000hp on pump, and up to 12-1300 before starting to walk that fine line.

Dang, squared up some 1 7/8 tubing and it's not big enough. Stuck with 2in primaries it seems. Kinda alright with it since thebends are about 2 bucks cheaper a piece lol. Ordered the AC kit today. I'll need to make a bracket for that to line up with the SN 95 stuff though. Finding header flanges has been real fun. One company wanted 195 a piece for them. So I asked Edelbrock if they'll let me have a copy of the drawings so I can get it cut locally. They only sell 3/8 mild steel flanges. Hopefully they'll help a brother out.

Been getting stuff done. But been pretty busy for pics. Got my link bar lifters and shaft mounts are being made right now at Crower. A box of various 2in SS bends, and the AC kit in. Got the new "fly by wire" deal from vintage the day it came out. No more cables !!! Got lucky with that one. Didn't even know it was coming out lol.Got the valve covers and new COP setup in and mocking it up to see where to place the stands for the brackets and what not. Got some more headers and kits to make before I really have any free time to work on this heap. But hopefully one of these days.

Got the car on the table. Just need to get it to ride height and start the qrtrs.
Yes, the shop is a disaster right now.Too many cars and too many parts.

Getting somewhere. At least a little bit of instant gratification. Got the car up to it's aprox ride height by comparing other cars at the shop, then started the driver qrtr. Actually putting '68 qrtrs on instead of 67. Cheaper, bonus. But I wanted to shave the fins anyways, so this save me a good bit of work also.

Trick if you can save it is to leave the little amount right in the door jam. That way you can't screw up the height or depth of the qrtr in the front. Plus the repops don't have the same edges. Now when you open the door, it won't be easy to spot a qrtr replacement.
