I've seen a lot of built up cars run like crap too. My 302 ain't the fastest horse in the barn for sure, but I can also get around 25mpg on the highway doing 70mph and throttle response up the wazoo.

As far as the pick a part T5, for that cheap it's almost free, so you might as well buy a rebuild kit for it and run it, or if you have money you can do a GeForce upgrade kit(I think they run around $1,200 now?) with new shafts and gears etc, will bring it up to something close to a TKO 500 in terms of performance capability. I'd recommend a good bellhousing though, like a Quicktime, and MAKE SURE TO ALIGN IT!!! That's absolutely critical when you're doing any type of trans/bellhousing swap on an engine, if the bellhousing isn't concentric to the crank(or within spec) you can rip up input shafts and bearings on the trans.

Go with the T-5. They can be built up strong and it will bolt right in. The TKO is not only expensive but you would have to cut the top off the trans tunnel to make it fit right or else it'll be sitting at the wrong angle...idk about you but i'd never cut up my car! lol

T5 Seems the way to go, I will; look to see about the G-Force but it seems a little expensive considering everything else I need to buy now, Any other advice as to where I can get a good price on a rebuild kit?

What we thought we might do is just run the cheap T5 we are going to pick up until I can find another close Ratio unit like the one we lost out on.

Also I will need to get rid of the C-4 that was in the car and the rebuilt T-10 that I have that I was going to use.

Picked up a radiator this weekend, 3 core and a 3000 CFM Fan, some insulation and a bunch of Miscellaneous parts, was hoping to get the roller rockers but the guy wont have until tomorrow.

Block is at the machine shop and will be ready hopefully by this weekend. Now I found out I need a !@#$ timing chain cover. If anyone has one the engine is an 86 302, we will be checking Pick a Part this weekend.

Also looking for a deal on a HP water pump and an electric fuel pump, let me know if anyone has.

Thanks
Bernie

Timing covers and pumps can be had at Summit for pretty cheap.

How much do you want for the T-10? I'm very interested.

It is a rebuilt T-10, I bought it already rebuilt for $450.00, saw them at the high perf swap meet this weekend for $600. I just would like to get what i have in it.

Thanks
