Default Shelby dash emblems

These emblems like THIS one.. Do they simply attach/stick to the dash (passenger side upper) and cover the raised MUSTANG lettering or what? Want one to modify for GT 351 instead. I'm looking at getting one of Shelby's signatures on this upper right-hand section and don't mind the cost for the charity. Would like to have this piece modified and on before being sent to him though.

Just wanted to know if these emblems simply stick on over it or what.

Edit.. dash trim is just the standard black mustang trim piece.

Adrenolin, because Shelby didn't use the Camera Case dash pieces the Mustang emblem is in the way. His had the wood grain or sometimes the brushed stainless. If you look those up, you'll notice that they don't have an emblem. I tried finding an example online, but no one takes pictures of the dashboard. LOL.

Also, I've noticed most signatures are on the glove compartment door.

Not a huge help, sorry.

Last year I converted my '67 coupe from camera case to deluxe (aluminum) inserts. I found the pieces on ebay. The guy claimed all the pieces would match perfectly because all the aluminum came from the same roll, plus he claimed to have the original Ford dies to stamp from. When I ordered the aluminum inserts, I remember he specifically asked which emblem I planned on using because the holes to be drilled would be different.

They don't stick on. They have a threaded post. A nut secures them from the back side.

Results may vary if you're using camera case inserts.

They come with the pins, however they snap off very easily with a pair of pliers and you can then use emblem tape to stick them on the dash. Here is the one we did for my son's 68:

Thats pretty much what I'd like but on the stock black piece. Any chance you could measure the "G.T.500" area and give me the length and width of it so I can see if it'll cover the Mustang lettering? Don't really want to spend the 50 bucks for it if it isn't gonna fit and look right. Thanks.

No rush as I'm back in Jersey. Drove back last Friday to surprise the wife for the holiday. Heading back up this weekend and hopefully have the car on the road in another month.

Thanks

The manufacturer does.

For the right money, CS will sign most anything.
