Wow. Looks like the car is slowly coming together. Great pictures.

I find it interesting that I have repaired some of the exact same places on my car. Nothing as extensive as yours but some of the smaller patches I have had to do in the same places.

I've been busy, wasn't a easy job. A hole lot of measuring, cutting, fitting etc.

Firts inner wheelhouse repair

Door put in, to fit the new quarter panel to.

Outer wheelhouse

fitting the quarterpanel

After grinding

Trunk drop-off adjusted to the quarterpanel

This next piece wasn't available, so i ordered one from the fastback and cut some parts of it.

Upper part

Lower part

Slowly the end is coming closer. Just a few more days of cutting, welding, grinding and the body will be finished.

Time for a small update. Last few days i haven't done much, cause of the hot weather. I've been spending more time in the water then on the car.

Well i did do something: Cowl assembly welded in and removed the reinforcement.:

After buying an new outer wheelhouse, cause the one that was delivered was from the wrong year, i repared the outer wheelhouse on the passenger side. The inside was just fine, but the outside was shot.

The only thing that remains is the quarterpanel, when that's fixed, the body is done. I've been struggling with that damn repro stuff for 3 days now (on and off) and i've had it with tha t piece of ****, so i've called in the cavalerie. (my uncle) One of these days, when he has the time, he'll help me with it. After that's fixed, i can concentrade on the rest of the body, like: seal the body, straighten up the engineroom, paint the angineroom and the inside of the car and trunk.

Let the fun stuff begin.

This has been a good thread. My mother grew up in Groningen and came over in 1949 to the USA. If she were still alive I don't think she would believe the mustangs would be there in the Netherlands.. With all that humid salt air I can believe how bad the body was.

What is the white that you are using on the body as you are repairing the panels. White primer??

You are mighty productive I must say. It even more impressive as you are in the netherlands which make part sourceing a pain in the ass. Photocliff for your info a few mustang were actually made in Amsterdam. Strange but true.

Do you mean this white stripe? If so, this is some kind of tape made of paper. (painter tape?) This way i can cut a big piece out in a straight line.

Thanks, on photo it does look great, but in realtime it needs a paintjob. When the 70 coup is finished, the 66 is next.

Thanks for the before pictures, but wow I ran when I saw a 67 or 68 fastback the other day that was in similar or slightly better condition than that.
