i you take your time removing the pan you can do it with very little mess and very little spilling on to you.
break all the bolts free. then start at 1 corner. this corner will be the lowest point of the pan at all times and will be used as the pour spout.
take a few bolts out on either side of the corner and then start loosening the other bolts. work your way from the corner back and it will let that one corner drop.
just be sure to break the gasket free first becuase if you loosen to many then it will drop suddenly and you will make a mess then haha
