Thanks guys! I'm going to need a cowl hood most likely. I might however get lucky on this one, I'm running a TBI Pro-Jection setup and it sets the air cleaner about 2" lower than a carb (It's really short) so we'll see. I might get away with a drop-base air cleaner on the street. it is a victor JR, not a full victor so it's about an inch or more shorter than a Victor SR. I'll be 3" or so shorter than as if I had a Victor SR and a carb,

Put up some more pics, removed a TON of aluminum port-matching the intake!

Hopefully we'll be firing it next weekend, we'll see.

Default I wasn't expecting this!

I was really happy to find out from Troy at FPS that this motor is capable of 610 horsepower and well over 550 lb/ft of torque with the right induction system. (Troy recommends a ported super victor intake and Holley 950 quick-fuel)

Cam specs with 1.7 rockers are .612" lift on both sides with 290-something intake duration and 300-something exhaust,(240+/250+ @.050" lift) on a 112 LSA.

Compression is 10.6:1 and the motor will run at 28-30 degrees total timing on pump gas.

With my current induction setup I will be running a detuned 540 Horsepower without sacraficing much torque, for the street. :0) I'm ok with that but definitely considering getting the quick-fuel and ported Super Victor...lol

Sacramento, looks like you're from SD, a little too far to drive...lol. I'll try to get some video of it's maiden voyage for everyone, we'll see.

Got the engine bay all detailed today.

Looks like I'm buying a PA C4 transmission with trans-brake, manual valve body, scatter shield and 4500 stall. This thing is going to be a freakin beast.

Picked up the PA Super Competition transmission today, came with scorpion shifter, rev man valve body, 4500 stall, scatter-shield, and trans-brake. Also ordered a new set of ceramic coated 1 3/4" headers.

Got the headers today, Hooker Super Comp 1 3/4" coated 6208-1. They are definitely nice, tuned also. I did not know it but they have a few removable primary tubes (one on each side) with slip-joints for easy installation around the shock-towers, probably more equipped for the '65-66 chassis than the '67. We'll see how they fit.

Anyone ever dealt with these slip-joints on headers before? I assume you have to weld them up but I'm tempted to just use a bunch of red RTV since they are a pretty snug-fit with almost 2" of inserted tube with plenty of sealing area. If anyone has dealt with these before I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Any advice is cool, and NO the instructions don't give any advice on how to seal them up after/during the install.
