***SPECIAL THANKS TO NORCAL MOTORSPORTS IN SACRAMENTO, CA FOR ALL THEIR HELP!!***
Some of you might remember my '65 Class Project from last year. I sold that car early this year to buy this one for obvious reasons, and just scored a brand new FPS 418 stroker. Motor should be in and running hopefully in the next week or 2.
Here's a few pics, I'll try and update them as I go with the install.
...1967 Mustang Coupe, previously had a roller 302 with moderate cam, roller rockers and otherwise stock internals. Other mods include subframe connectors, shelby traction-bars, 4-wheel disk, Lincoln 8.8 rear with auburn posi, aftermarket axles and 3.73's, 20005-08 bullit wheels, I will be running a complete 3" exhaust with x-pipe and Dynomax race bullets.
Coming Soon... Roll cage, cowl hood, 5-point harnesses and slicks.
The new motor is a Ford Performance Solutions 418 Windsor with fully forged bottom-end, hydraulic roller cam (still trying to find out the cam specs), CNC Ported Avenger 225 heads with 2.08 valves, canton deep sump oil pan, fully race-prepped block, sfi balancer and flex-plate, Victor Jr up top with Hooker Super comp coated headers and 900cfm Holley Pro-Jection. Motor should put out 580-590 horse when dialed-in. We'll see.
BEFORE PIC W/HOOD UP
OLD MOTOR'S OUT!

VERIFYING TDC With a special spring-loaded TDC-finder and dial-indicator: Turns out my Timing mark was 4 degrees off, nothing a little hammer and flat-blade screwdriver couldn't fix
Started Port-Matching The Intake Manifold (LOTS OF ALUMINUM!!)
Intake After...
Engine Bay After...
Motors In!
Accessories Installed With March 351W Fox-Body Serpentine System Brackets. NICE!

If you take it to the third story and drop it just right it will clearance itself. Might not be pretty or functional when its done, but it would be in there.
ffs dude, your car is straight beautiful, the stance is perfect and the rims are great. i have similar aspirations as far as an engine goes, but it looks like tons of fun is in your future. nice ride
Hope you have better luck with your FPS engine then i had.Rebuilt 3 times in under 600 miles from assembly "accidents"
Yeah, kinda of a bid accident to put in the wrong pistons huh ? lol
Are taking into account piston dwell when your finding TDC ? Looks as if you may not be. 4 deg off on a balancer is pretty darn far off. Although the number isn't the almighty important, as long as your not pinging.
RCR GT40 Mk1
FFR Daytona Coupe (sold, sniff)
1968 GT500KR (clone)
1966 GT350 (clone)
1967 Mustang convertible (unmolested so far)
Hey, my whole life is a fake!
Looks like a new hood or a hole in this one.. Victor intakes dont fit under pony car hoods. If you were closer I would suggest we line up and see which Victor intake is faster. Mine has a little more than 408 inches under it though.
Nice straight looking stang, the new wheels look great on the old cars IMHO.
