Hey guys I've been trying to identify a squeaky noise coming from the front end I have been dealing with for quite some time. I've always thought it was my front sway bar needing lube but recently I have noticed that the noise goes away when I apply the brakes even just a little....
The squeaky noise has been happening lately very loudly and constantly in these 100+ degree days although some days its not there
Could it still be my sway bar? Even though when I brake the car it seems that the noise is completely gone???
I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out what it is please help me

Do you have disc brakes up front? Sounds like you need new pads. Pull the wheels and see if they are rubbing tthe "squealers". The growling is probably the wheel bearings....lube them while you're in there.
What brake kit did you use? I found after my install I got a swishing sqeak and it was one of the anti-squeal plates on the back of one pad that came loose and was rubbing the hub. It actually scored the hub.

I'll have to try this
I took off the wheels and the bearings are fine but did not take off the callipers because I don't have any disc brake quiet/grease to reapply to the pads when I go to put them back on
wish i kept my old packets of disc brake quiet maybe ill go get some and try that
Sounds to me like the pads are bad or the rotors are warped.

I dont know much, but i experienced this on my car today, and it was the hose from the pcv valve to the carb. collapsing. Whenever i brake fully it stops, if im slowing down applying the brake it doesnt. Atleast this is my case.
What brakes do you have? If it is Granada, then I have read that many recommend RTV to hold the pads in place. Has anyone else done this?
See if the grinding noise is still present with the wheel off. If it is then it could be the pads or the bearings. If the noise goes away then the wheel maybe hitting the caliper or something.
