Just ordered a 1'' spacer for the crank pulley...the water pump and alt line up perfect. I compared my balancer to old one and there is a one inch diff. Dont see a reaon to not use a crank pulley spacer. seems like common occurance

Oh, it looked like the alternator was back as well. But if that's all you need, I don't see why it won't work.

Exclamation Check that water pump and cover to make sure it's not a reverse rotation!

eZ,

Looks like things are coming along nicely.
Is that a pump and timing cover off a late model 5.0 with serpentine setup? (sorry I can't see the black in the picture clear enough on my cheese-mo monitor).

If so, you will need to add a P.S. pump, or idler where the P.S. pump would go, and change the water pump pulley to a smooth face. Otherwise, you'll be spinning the water pump backwards from it's intended direction.

The water pump pulley you have mounted is designed for a standard rotation pump.
The pump and cover go together. So if you change the pump to standard rotation, you need to change the cover as well.

Good luck.

Scott- it is a standard rotation. same setup I ran before only difference is the balancer is shorter, but I had to use this balancer because it was balanced with this setup to within 1 gram.

Cool, that is good news.
When I changed to an FRPP SFI balancer (for the supercharger) it came with a choice of spacers. So yeah, adding a spacer is not uncommon.
